That means the speaker can be submerged into approx 1m water for almost 30min. The buttons on the speaker are volme up,down,play pause and a plus button to connect to other speakers. There are ports for  usb which is used to charge the speaker and an Aux input also. The Jbl Flip 4 is very good as per sound output. The highs mids and lows are good in this speaker.One of the feature added is that we can connect the upto 100 Jbl flip 4 speakers together which can be synced and playe together. The only problem with this feature is that currently it can only be connect to a flip 4 and no other speaker from jbl.
